The Opportunity

Steven Khalil is internationally recognised as one of Australia’s foremost bridal and red-carpet couturiers, known for gowns that blend classic couture craft with a modern edge. With such a strong association to ceremony, romance and occasion, the opportunity existed to extend the Steven Khalil brand into home fragrance through a licensed partnership that could translate the mood of his couture work into scent.

Black Blaze, a boutique Australian home fragrance and luxury decor brand inspired by local landscapes and everyday ritual, was identified as the ideal commercial partner. Their expertise in fragrance development and production allowed for a signature scent that captured the elegance and detail of Steven’s work, while offering the scalability required for retail and gifting markets.

Brand Shout was engaged by the Steven Khalil brand to structure a licensing pathway into home and lifestyle products that preserved brand equity. We also brokered the Steven Khalil x Designer Rugs collaboration for the interiors / homewares market.

The Collection

The Ivory Garden scented candle translates Steven Khalil’s bridal and red-carpet world into a signature home fragrance.

​

Blending honeysuckle, lilac, rose and jasmine over a soft rosewood base, Ivory Garden is designed as a bouquet of white florals in full bloom, echoing the romance, elegance and attention to detail that define Steven’s gowns, now expressed through scent.

​

Hand-poured in Australia and presented in a gift box, the Ivory Garden candle is available through BLACK BLAZE’s online store and selected stockists, introducing the Steven Khalil brand into the home fragrance space as part of an ongoing licensed product program.
