The Opportunity

Kate Nixon, with her refined interior design sensibility and deep love for texture, pattern and natural references, presented an opportunity to translate her design vision beyond interiors and styling into tangible home-textile products. The objective was to create a wallpaper and fabric collection that captured Kate’s aesthetic voice, while reaching a broader audience through licensed production.

Quercus & Co., a producer specialised in high-quality printed wallpaper and fabrics, emerged as the ideal manufacturing partner. Their bespoke print expertise and craftsmanship meant they could faithfully interpret Kate’s nuanced patterns, colour palettes and textural references — delivering products that resonated with the design integrity of her interiors work while being fully scalable for retail and trade distribution.

Brand Shout was engaged to conceptualise and structure a licensing program that would preserve Kate’s creative vision while enabling commercial rollout - effectively turning a stylist-led design sensibility into a licensable asset with global distribution potential.​

The Kate Nixon x Quercus & Co. Collection brings Kate Nixon’s visual language into a curated range of print-to-order wallpapers and drapery/upholstery textiles for interiors.

The collection features a suite of printed wallcoverings and fabrics inspired by nature, texture and layered pattern, expressed through a refined colour palette, a hand painted sensibility and tactile materials.

Available to retail and trade markets, the collection is distributed across Australia, USA, Canada and New Zealand through Quercus & Co.’s network of partner showrooms and forms the foundation for an ongoing licensed product program within the Kate Nixon brand universe.
