The Opportunity

Kate Nixon and Boyd Blue already shared a long-standing professional relationship, with some preliminary conversations underway regarding a potential collaboration. The commercial opportunity was to formalise this interest into a structured, scalable furniture licensing arrangement.
 

Brand Shout was engaged to bring commercial structure to the opportunity, steward the development phase and manage all negotiation and contractual aspects of the partnership in the best interests of both parties. This included establishing commercial terms, to ensure the collaboration could operate as a sustainable long-term licensing program rather than a one-off capsule collection.
 

The result is a formally documented licensing partnership that leverages Boyd Blue’s manufacturing capability and distribution network, while extending the Kate Nixon brand into furniture for the first time, under controlled commercial and creative parameters.

The Collection

The Kate Nixon x Boyd Blue Collection comprises a licensed range of furniture designed for residential and light commercial interiors.
 

The collection includes benches, stools, dining chairs, headboards, sideboards, ottomans and side tables, produced in natural materials including solid timber, woven cane, paper cord and leather. Each product has been developed through a structured R&D process to meet manufacturing, durability and retail performance requirements.
 

The range is distributed through Boyd Blue’s showroom and retail network and forms an ongoing licensed furniture program within the Kate Nixon brand portfolio.
