The Opportunity

David Hicks is internationally recognised for his work across interiors, residential design and hospitality. Harnessing David's highly defined aesthetic, the opportunity existed to extend the David Hicks brand into luxury tapware that would complement the brand's interior design output and the recently released LOUIS bath and basin collaboration.
 

Sussex is an established Australian tapware brand - SX was identified as the ideal partner to execute this vision at a technical and manufacturing level, delivering refined detailing, longevity, and a complete solution for both residential and hospitality applications. 
 

Brand Shout was engaged by David Hicks Studio to structure a licensing pathway to brand collaborations in the interior design product space without diluting brand integrity or control. Felix tapware by David Hicks is designed to effortlessly work alongside Louis by David Hicks, his design partnership with Apaiser. ​

Felix is a tapware and fixtures collaboration designed to integrate seamlessly into private residential, multi-residential and hospitality interiors.
 

Offering a complete solution for interiors where luxury and refinement are paramount, each item is finely detailed - allowing materiality and a clean silhouette to take precedence.

The result is a subtle, sculptural presence that integrates confidently into both contemporary and traditional settings.
 

Felix is distinguished by two exclusive finish combinations bespoke to the collection:

• Brushed Oyster Nickel with polished chrome detailing

• Brushed Smoke Gun Metal with gloss black detailing
   

These layered materials create a nuanced interplay between satin and shine - adding depth while remaining flexible enough to work across a broad range of interior palettes.
